Weekly Planning Search - Nov 25th 2009

94877 - 4 THE RAMPART

registration date:  16/11/2009

Location:  Off Lower Buckland Road, just outside (I think) the NE corner of the AOSC

Proposal:  Single-storey extension; conservatory (Extension to time limit of Planning Permission 87295)

Consulted:  neighbours 6, others 3

Comment:  This is an application to extend 87295, granted with conditions in November 2004.   It concerns a large conservatory.   The NFDC might want it resubmitted under the Core Strategy, which cam into effect last month, but the nature of the proposed extension is not something we should oppose

Recommendation:  No action

94802 - WELLWORTHY SOCIAL AND ATHLETIC CLUB, STANFORD ROAD

registration date:  13/11/2009

Location:

Proposal:  1 terrace of 10 three storey houses; pedestrian access alterations

Consulted:  neighbours 76, others 14 (not including us!)

Comment:  This appears to be as it was presented to us.   One neighour, writing from an Everton address, has remarked on the lack of parking.

Recommendation:  for discussion at our 8th December meeting

94813 - 1 WESTFIELD HOUSE, 30 WESTFIELD ROAD

registration date:  12/11/2009

Location:  SD house on S side of Stanley road and W side of Westfield road, at their junction

Proposal:  First-floor and single-storey extensions

Consulted:  neighbours 9, others 4

Comment:  There is little on the website.   The application form says it seeks to renew a consent already given, without saying which or when.  The tiny plans don't seem to contain anything to which we might object.   If it is a renewal/extension application, the NFDC might seek re-submission under the Core Strategy.

Recommendation:  No action

94827 - 104 - 104A HIGH STREET

registration date:  12/11/2009

Location:  Superdrug, two up from the Angel

Proposal:  Air conditioning units

Consulted:  neighbours 18, others 7

Comment:  Not much is available, but it appears to be a straightforward replacement of ancient units.

Recommendation:  No action

94835 - 88 HIGH STREET

registration date:  18/11/2009

Location:  Stead and Simpson

Proposal:  Display 1 non-illuminated fascia sign; paint shopfront (Application for Listed Building Consent)

Consulted:  neighbours 9, others 6

Comment:  Appears to be a refurbishment, but details are not very clear.  It's not to be illuminated but the paperwork doesn't say what the new front will look like

Recommendation:  No action - unless others have better information

94785 - 17 HAGLANE COPSE, PENNINGTON

registration date:  12/11/2009

Location:  E side of the road

Proposal:  Rear conservatory

Consulted:  neighbours 8, others 4

Comment:  The application seeks to put a conservatory in the garden behind the house.

Recommendation:  One for the PRA

94800 - Land rear of 57-61 CORBIN ROAD

registration date:  18/11/2009

Location:   In the centre of a group of varied houses on land encompassed by Corbin Road, Wainsford Close and Wainsford Road

Proposal:  Bungalow; access onto Wainsford Road

Consulted:  neighbours 22, others 7

Comment:  The design statement includes:  "The application relates to a site on which Planning Approval was granted Ref. 07/91148 dated 31st December 2007 for a similar form of development the principle difference now being the relationship of the entrance to the bungalow and the garage which has been attached to the bungalow.   The site is located within the settlement boundary of Pennington in a residential area with predominately 2 storey properties.   Currently the site is part of the garden of no. 57 Corbin Road and is approx. an ‘L’ shape with the rear gardens of nos. 7 & 8 Wainsford Close; Penny Cottage and no 69 Wainsford Road; nos.59 and 61 Corbin Road, backing onto it.".   It is an odd-shaped plot but the plan looks sensible (although the serpentine access road looks complicated) and not inconsistent with its surroundings.

Recommendation:  PRA will want to look at this one
