Comment:  The first application was objected to by a neighbour who is now content.  The Council architect also opposed it on grounds mainly of inconsistency with the Local Distinctiveness SPD but seems to have been consulted in drawing up a slightly more modest design and is also thought to be content.   The Society may claim some credit for oiling the wheels behind the scenes.   Let us hope that the DCC, if again involved, makes a sensible decision.
