Weekly Planning Search - Sep 7th 2011

96953 - 11 NEW STREET

registration date:  21/07/2011

Location:

Proposal:  Create roof terrace; lower roof; decking; enclosure fence & trellis; floating bridge

Statutory Class:  Householder developments

Consulted:  neighbours 7, others 7

History:  This application appeared last July and this is a repeat under the same application number – could be a revised floor plan

Comment:  none (again).   The Town have recommended permission

Recommendation:  no action

97567 - 14 WATERFORD LANE

registration date:  26/08/2011

Location:  Opposite entrance to Waterford Close

Proposal:  Single-storey front extension; two-storey side extension; front & rear dormers; re-pitch roof to rear

Statutory Class:  Householder developments

Consulted:  neighbours 8, others 5

History:  none

Comment:  A fairly ambitious extension to an unremarkable bungalow.   It is always nice to see pitched-roof dormers being added to roof conversions

Recommendation: No action

97614 – THE CHALET, KINGS SALTERN ROAD

registration date:  26/08/2011

Location:  Near the Mayflower end, S side

Proposal:  Part retrospective - retention of chalet for residential use

Statutory Class:  Minor Dwellings

Consulted:  neighbours 7, others 12

History:  none

Comment:  The enforcers have required this retrospective application for a new wooden building which replaced a falling down hut apparently dating to the 1940s.   The site is in the Conservation Area but can barely be seen from the road and there is no reason for the Society to get involved

Recommendation:  No action

97642 - 65 BELMORE LANE

registration date:  24/08/2011

Location:  last on left before Pyrford Lodge

Proposal:  Roof alterations; rooflights; single-storey side and rear extension; conservatory; porch

Statutory Class:  Householder developments

Consulted:  neighbours 9, others 6

History:  This replaces 97456, which was withdrawn (no reason given, but the current version has been “scaled down” from its previous substantial size)

Comment:  I commented on 97456 “A substantial extension which just about doubles the size of the existing bungalow, but not inconsistent with neighbouring houses in Daniells Walk”.   This proposal is smaller.

Recommendation:  No action

97649 - 1 RENOUF CLOSE, PENNINGTON

registration date:  25/08/2011

Location:  half way in, on the left

Proposal:  Single-storey rear extension

Statutory Class:  Householder developments

Consulted:  neighbours 11, others 4

History:  none

Comment:  Rear extension to a chalet bungalow – no comment

Recommendation:  no action
